I am grateful for the opportunity to help Don’t Pastor Alone become more than just a slogan! From where I sit, I can clearly see every week how God’s provision and favor is helping the Don’t Pastor Alone idea become a reality in the life of pastors and ministry leaders in our First Coast Churches network.
As we gather to celebrate what God is doing through the relationships and resources delivered through the coaching, consulting, and conferencing of 2023 we are aware of our gospel partnership! We celebrate the generosity of our churches through their monthly financial support, the use of their facilities and how willingly they offer encouragement and wisdom to other pastors and ministry leaders.
When we hear:
- The Expand Team tell stories about First Coast Churches planting churches here and around the world
- The Equip Team share how the revitalization cohorts have encouraged and equipped multiple churches
- The Engage Team celebrate mobilizing dozens of churches to serve principals in every school in our multiple county area
- The Enrich Team describe the variety of situations we have walked through with pastors and ministry leaders
It reminds us that work is bigger than what one church and human resources alone can provide. It also reminds us that there is no unimportant church! Every church regardless of size and location has a role to play in reaching our neighbors and neighborhoods for Christ.
As, we close out 2023 and lean toward 2024 it is in the confident hope that God will finish what He has started in each of us. Let’s also ask, who am I uniquely positioned to learn from, celebrate with and encourage!
Remember “Two are better than one…A cord of three strands is not easily broken.”
Don’t Pastor Alone,
