One of the greatest needs for any pastor, whether a seasoned legacy church pastor or a church planter, is community. It is easy to fine oneself isolated in the pastorate. It just isn’t healthy. In an effort to keep our church planters in the city connected, to invite more into the network, and to ensure that no one pastors alone, we have scheduled monthly “Lunch & Learn” gatherings hosted by pastors of legacy churches in our network. During these gatherings the host church pastor has agreed to provide a light lunch and then share insight learned from years of pastoral experience. This is also a time to connect pastors of churches that have been serving the Lord and our community for years with new pastors who have recently or will soon be launching new church plants.
We have the following lunches scheduled thus far. If you are a church planter and would like to attend…consider this your invitation. Join us. If you are the pastor of a legacy church and would like to host one of these monthly gatherings at your church facility, please let me know. We will not be meeting in the summer but will be scheduling the September – December meetings soon.
